Paul Austin - Director
Paul is an expert in his field, having spent nearly 30 years in the sail and cover making industry.
Being widely known for his excellent customer service and support and with industry renowned product knowledge, Paul is now sharing his wealth of experience as Director of Sunstorm Covers.

James Shelmerdine
James has come from a sailing background, he started sailing at the age of 6 years old and has worked throughout the marine industry ever since. Having previously taught sailing and windsurfing in the med for Neilson, he has been sail and cover making now for some 14 years.
Working in the South West at a family run sail and cover loft and then moving to the Solent. He has learnt his skills working at 2 major sailmaking brands manufacturing sails for cruising yachts through to Grand Prix racing and Superyachts. This has allowed him to grow his knowledge and skills from design, production, servicing, patterning, testing and fitting along with customer service and sales.
As well as sales of new products, manufacturing of bespoke covers he also heads up the winter service and repairs.
Oli Arnold
Oli has come from a sailing background, with her Family running and owning many yachts throughout their lives. Oli has sewn from a young age and focused her education on textiles. From this Oli then moved into Sailmaking, working for two large international sailmaking brands combining her love for design and Sewing.
Oli started to work alongside Paul some 6 years ago patterning and manufacturing covers. She is a key member of our team who looks after manufacturing for some of our account customers and loves to take on the ‘Project' side of cover making, she enjoys taking customer requirements from simple notes and sketches to an official design and then manufacturing.
Sail and Cover services
Sail and Cover Repair Service
We offer a full Sail and Cover repairs and washing service which can include removal and refit should this be required.
This can be for anything from a simple small running repair to get you back on the water to a full winter service of both sails and cover products.
For larger refit projects or for brokerage usage we also can produce a full detailed condition report.
